Periotomes: The basis for atraumatic work

In contrast to classic elevators, periotooms are extremely delicate and sharp-edged. They are primarily used to cut through the ligaments in the sulcus. By guiding them precisely along the tooth root, the periodontal gap is widened without fracturing the alveolar bone. This is essential preparation for any minimally invasive extraction.

Root elevators: Effective luxation with a system

Our root elevators are used when controlled leverage is required to loosen the tooth from the socket. We offer different geometries for every anatomical requirement:

• Bein root elevators: The classic instrument with a straight working end for universal applications.
• Root tip elevators (e.g., Heidbrink): Particularly fine instruments designed specifically for the removal of deeply fractured root remnants.
• Dislocation instruments & PerioLUX: These combine the sharpness of a periotome with the stability of a lever to enable even more efficient dislocation.
