Talon Tough™ – handcrafted stainless steel instrument tips

In 1992, American Eagle Instruments introduced Talon Tough™ stainless steel instruments to the dental market – manufactured from high-quality stainless steel that was heat treated to the highest standards. The perfected heat and cold treatment of our Talon Tough™ line of stainless steel instruments has enabled American Eagle to offer products of the highest quality for 30 years. This unique method makes the cutting edge sharper and more durable than other stainless steel instruments. As the user, you will feel the difference. Talon Tough steel tips are handcrafted.

In addition, as a fully integrated manufacturer, we are able to maintain the highest quality standards from the raw material to the finished product. American Eagle Instruments sets the standard in instrument design and quality. The instruments are subject to strict quality controls during the manufacturing process in accordance with ISO 13485 standards.

Sharpening

Countless popular curette, scaler and Gracey curette designs are available in Talon Tough™ stainless steel.

Talon Tough™ instrument tips allow for regular sharpening – unlike working ends with XP Technology®, which must not be sharpened. You can find out more about this in our American Eagle sharpening video.

Your customised Talon Tough™ instrument

Would you like to create your own unique instrument with stainless steel tips? American Eagle has the solution: Quik-Tips™ in Talon Tough™ and our EagleLite® handles.

The Quik-Tip™ system saves you money and reduces waste as you only need to replace the working ends when they wear out, not the entire instrument. As the Quik-Tip™ consists of three components, you can design your own personal instruments for dental practice: two Talon Tough™ stainless steel tips and a handle give you your very own unique instrument. Find out more about Quik-Tip™ here.

EagleLite™ plastic handles

American Eagle stainless steel instruments are supplied with patented EagleLite® plastic handles. The plastic handles are extremely lightweight and provide optimal tactile sensitivity during use. The diameter and grooved pattern of the handles reduce hand fatigue and counteract carpal tunnel syndrome.

The EagleLite® plastic handles are available in 7 colours.

EagleLite™stainless steel handle

Our range also includes Talon Tough™ instruments with our proven EagleLite® stainless steel handle. This handle is also ergonomic and lightweight and offers you comfort, control and tactile sensitivity during professional dental cleaning.
